Hi, I'm Megan Weise

I am a UX Designer, focused on designing great experiences and solutions that make people's lives better.

I work at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I'm passionate about solving problems to improve people's lives and enjoy creating products. I have seven years of experience as a UX Designer before I challenged myself in 2022 with becoming a Product Manager.

My most important role is as a mother to my two daughters who inherited their father's love of music and reading and my love for puzzles and making things.

Select Work

Here are some of my biggest successes and work I am most proud of:

Adding meaning with imagery

Updating the layout and other visual elements of the form to more closely adhere to the brand, including showing an image of a patient; A/B testing showed a 3.17% lift in conversion rate at 99% confidence and a $4.08 increase in revenue per visitor.

Accessibility

Championing accessibility improvements, so that people using screen readers or keyboard only users could also donate to St. Jude (and to be 508 compliant). See accessibility improvement examples.

Donation Frequency

Changing the way the donation frequency is selected, decreasing donor complaints and increasing post-donation survey donor satisfaction.

In memory or honor of someone

Rearranging the order of form elements to better meet user expectations, increasing conversion rate and decreasing donor complaints.

Completely redesigning the post-donation experience so that donors are properly thanked and appreciated for their gift, correlated with donor retention increases.

Every dollar makes a difference

Changing the UI design for selecting and entering an amount to give people control over their amount.

Changing credit card entry fields to decrease the time on task by 9 seconds and conversion rate by 3.75%.

Inscribing Bricks & Plaques

Redesigned a subsite where donors can make a large donation and engrave a brick or plaque that lives forever on the St. Jude campus.

From one-page to stepped form

With the increase number of decision points and options we were adding to the form, designed a way to help donors focus by creating a stepped donation experience.
